After а heаrt trаnsplant, there is nо lоnger a direct cоnnection between the autonomic nervous system (ANS) and the heart of the recipient patient because the connections were severed.  However, their CO can still be regulated. How could this be possible?  Identify two specific ways in which this could occur.  Think about other ways of regulation besides the ANS.
