Akirа аnd Jаcksоn are cоllege students renting a hоuse from Lyrissa. Lyrissa was hesitant to rent to these two tenants because she knew they both had poor credit scores and low GPAs and was afraid they would not take care of the house or keep it clean. After all, Lyrissa had just recently installed new carpets throughout the house and wanted to be sure Akira and Jackson did not destroy it. To keep an eye out on the carpets, Lyrissa has installed a hidden camera in the living room so that she can watch to make sure the boys don’t damage the carpet. She chose not to install cameras in the bedrooms or bathrooms because she wanted to respect the tenants’ privacy. Lyrissa also randomly comes over and knocks on the front door roughly once a week asking to be let into the house so she can inspect the carpets for possible damage. Sometimes, if Akira or Jackson are not home to let her in, Lyrissa enters the garage door code and lets herself in to inspect the carpets. The written lease agreement does not mention anything about the hidden camera or the carpet inspections. What legal claims, if any, would Akira and/or Jackson have against Lyrissa?
