I understand there will be two speeches this semester. I have read and understand the speech session requirements.  I understand reading a speech from a manuscript or the computer screen will result in a failing grade. I also understand points will be deducted for not meeting time requirements and/or for poor video and audio quality that may prevent the instructor from effectively assessing delivery. Therefore, I will make sure my internet connection is strong and reliable before attending the Zoom meeting. 

To take the midterm and/or final exam off campus through Honorlock, I understand I must take the Honorlock Practice Quiz. I understand I will NOT be allowed to use Honorlock if I do not complete the Practice Quiz and will be required to schedule the quiz through the Testing Center.

I understand each chapter quiz will test my knowledge of the information in the textbook as well as information found in readings and on discussion boards. I understand quizzes will not be reopened for student submissions. Therefore, I will make sure my internet connection is strong and reliable before starting each quiz.  Although these quizzes are not proctored, I understand the use of unauthorized materials (including the textbook) is prohibited. The use of unauthorized materials is considered academic misconduct.

A lab assignment, online quiz, and exam grade will be dropped from a student’s final average.

Online quizzes are due by 11:59PM on the due date.

All quizzes and lab assignments have a two-day late submission period for assignments to be turned in, and will have a 10 point deduction for each day late. 

Late work will result in a loss of 50% of the grade, unless an emergency has been documented.
