A 45-year-old female, asymptomatic, incidental finding during abdominal ultrasound for right upper quadrant pain. Imaging Finding: A well-circumscribed, round, anechoic (black) lesion is noted in the right lobe of the liver, measuring 2 x1.5 Cm. Completely black with no internal echoes. Smooth thin wall. Well-defined borders. Brightening of the tissue deep to the cyst, indicating low attenuation of sound waves through fluid. Refraction Artifact (Edge Shadows): Narrow, dark (hypoechoic) shadow lines extending distal to the lateral edges of the cyst. Is this artifact a sign of a complex cyst?
