Such individuals are unable to tolerate the thought of living a meaningless life, filled with suffering and bordered by oblivion. But have you ever wondered if God does, in fact, exist? Well, wonder no more! First of all, God is a being that is so great that nothing greater than it can be conceived. It follows from this definition that nothing greater than God can be conceived. However, we can conceive of a god that exists. But a god that exists is greater than one that doesn’t exist. Therefore, if God doesn’t exist, then something greater than God can be conceived. Second of all, whatever begins to exist has a cause and the universe, obviously, began to exist at some point, which entails that the universe has a cause. But, if the universe has a cause, then the cause of the universe is God. Hence, God exists.”
