Kathryn, an athlete on the college dance team, complains of chest tightness following a rigorous practice. She states that she felt her heart racing, but it happens a lot. She usually can get the flutter to stop by performing a Valsalva maneuver. This time, however, the fluttering did not stop. She has no history of cardiac abnormalities, and had normal heart rate, blood pressure, and cardiac sounds during her preparticipation physical.   The athlete presents with tachycardia and is afebrile. Her blood pressure is 117/78, and her respiration rate is 16. She complains of near-syncope sensations.   After resting for a short while, her heart rate returns to normal.    What is your immediate plan of action for Kathryn and what is your assessment of what she has going on?  (This can be stated using SBAR.)   Will she need a referral and if so with this case what would they be doing for her as far as follow up scans/imaging and care?
