Our perception is affected by the experiences we have everyday.  

When we assert that communication strategies are context bound, we are saying that the appropriateness of communication is determined on the basis of socially constructed rules and norms within a specific context.

Interpersonal and Small Group Communication is a general education humanities course because it motivates us to recognize the value of differing interpretations.

  “Communication is transactional” means that the content of your message has little effect on your relationship with the other person.
