The exam is timed, you will not be able to stop and start. Please plan accordingly. Please put away all study materials, loose paper, notecards, phones/tablets, books, etc. REMEMBER TO SET UP YOUR EXTERNAL CAMERA POSITIONED TO YOUR SIDE FOR THE TEST. FAILURE TO USE AN EXTERNAL CAMERA WILL RESULT IN A ZERO FOR THE EXAM.Be sure you are conducting a thorough room scan, showing your surroundings and around your desk/table/workspace. Then you will position your camera to the side. Once you begin the exam, you are required to stay in the camera view (so no getting up to go look at your study guide in another room). Interruptions happen (your dog barks at a delivery person, pest control comes in to spray your apartment, your parents tell you your aunt is coming over for dinner, a roommate sticks their head in and asks what is for dinner, your brother calls you for a ride- it happens) as long as you aren’t discussing the exam answers with anyone or just disappearing off camera it’s fine! However- you should be working alone, sitting as by yourself as much as possible (i.e not in bed/on the same couch with your partner/friend/cousin’s roommate, etc.) and working independently. Put your phone, notes, tablet, book, etc. out of reach before you do the first question. Keep the camera pointed at your workspace with you profile and desk, hands, keyboard, and monitor all visible until you are finished with the test.
