Think about a time when you had to work hard to accomplish something. It does not have to be related to school. You might write about learning a skill, keeping a job, caring for someone, playing a sport, finishing a difficult project, overcoming a setback, or reaching a personal goal. In your response, explain: What were you trying to accomplish? What made it difficult? What did you have to do to keep going? What did the experience teach you about yourself? How might that lesson help you as you begin this semester? Write one well-developed paragraph of at least 8–10 sentences. There is no “right” answer.
