Directions: Read this brief opinion/editorial (“Op/ed”) by Russ Fox, published in Minding the Campus: Reforming Our Universities:  “The Use and Misuse of A.I. in Higher Education Courses” Write a focused, multi-paragraph essay in which you support or disagree with the author’s opinion, using examples from your past experiences (or lack thereof) with using A.I. tools for writing assignments. Your essay should have an introduction ending with a thesis statement, at least two body paragraphs with topic sentences, quotations or paraphrases from the article, and supporting examples from your own personal experience. You do not need in-text citations or a works cited page, but make sure to put any exact wording from the article itself in quotation marks. You should not rush through this; 120 minutes are allowed, so expect to spend a minimum of one hour, at the very least to avoid any point deduction. All attempts that take at least one hour will receive full points.
