Such individuals are unable to tolerate the thought of living a meaningless life, filled with suffering and bordered by oblivion. But have you ever wondered if God does, in fact, exist? Well, wonder no more! First of all, God is a being that is so great that nothing greater than it can be conceived. It follows from this definition that nothing greater than God can be conceived. However, we can conceive of a god that exists. But a god that exists is greater than one that doesn’t exist. Therefore, if God doesn’t exist, then something greater than God can be conceived. But, if the universe has a cause, then the cause of the universe is God. Hence, God exists.”

For one thing, we have laws on the books against stealing so our culture clearly thinks that stealing is morally wrong. For another thing, stealing tends to produce unhappiness because it involves taking people’s property without their permission and because people don’t like to have their property taken away. And finally, God is the ultimate source of moral value which means that if an action is in accordance with the will of God then it’s morally unobjectionable. But the 8th Commandment is an explicit injunction against stealing, from which it follows that stealing is, in fact, a violation of the will of God.”

A Biology graduate student at the University of Louisiana decides that her research project would be to study the effects of phosphate on algae growth in experimental ponds.  She set up a series of small ponds containing  the same amount of algae.  in Pond No. 1 she put 2 pounds of phosphate, in Pond No. 2 she put 1 pound of phosphate, and in Pond No. 3 she put a pound of table salt (sodium chloride).   She then measured the number of algae cells per ounce of water in each pond.  She thinks that the concentration of phosphate fertilizer may increase algal growth. What is her Hypothesis?
