Although these exams are considered “open-note”, grades are based on what you know and understand, not what you copied and pasted from one another, the internet, the textbook, or other outside sources. The Chaffey Student Handbook policies on Academic Integrity apply, and students are still held to the same standards as if you were taking the exam in person. Any assignment or exam that shows evidence of academic dishonesty will earn a zero score and be reported to the college. If I suspect any part of the work is not your own, I reserve the right to mandate a Zoom meeting where you will be asked to explain the work verbally to me to receive credit. “I will not search online for answers, use my phone or apps, contact classmates, tutors, or anyone else for outside assistance, or otherwise engage in academic dishonesty. I understand that doing so may result in earning a failing grade on this exam.”
