Brasília: Capital do Brasil (image of Brasilia) Cheguei em Brasília, no Centro-Oeste, sexta-feira de noite. O aeroporto é muito bom e facilmente peguei um Uber até o hotel. No dia seguinte, iniciei minha visita com um passeio de ônibus (bus), Brasília City Tour pela manhã. De tarde, fui ao Palácio da Alvorada. Trata-se da residência de todos os presidentes que vieram depois de Juscelino Kubitschek. As visitas acontecem apenas na quarta-feira, das 14h30 às 16h50. Há um limite de 200 visitantes; as senhas são distribuídas por ordem de chegada (arrival). Depois fui até a Catedral. Mesmo com seu interior desfigurado — originalmente, não era pintado –, a Catedral reina como a obra número 1 de Niemeyer em Brasília. O Congresso e o Palácio Itamaraty são vizinhos e podem ser visitados praticamente juntos. O tour pelo congresso dura 50 minutos e não é preciso agendar. Não pude visitar o Itamaraty, porque quando tentei, havia uma greve de servidores, eles não trabalharam o dia todo. Mas sei que vale por um museu, dada a importância das obras de arte, tapeçarias e adornos de sua coleção. Diferentemente do Palácio Alvorada, o Palácio do Planalto, onde os presidentes despacham, está disponível no fim de semana. Visitei-o no domingo, às 9h30, grátis. Outra atração imperdível é o Eixo Monumental à noite. Não dá para perder. Como eu estava sem carro, fui de Uber mesmo. Valeu muito a pena! Não consegui, entretanto (nevertheless), visitar a Torre de TV. Ela também foi projetada por Oscar Niemeyer. Infelizmente estava fechada para visitas.
