We have determined that we have reached epidemic levels of burnout in college students with school stress, housing stress, and food insecurity. We decide to pilot a program where we give students 500 dollars a month while they are enrolled in classes to help reduce some of the economic concerns for housing and food. They do not need to paid back this stipend. We also implement flexible due dates in classes. We want to determine if this program should be rolled out college or nationwide. Please discuss and define who would be in the comparison and intervention group? Make sure to utilize the scenario in the question in your answer. How concerned should we about this in this scenario? Why?

We want to determine if having flexible assignment due dates reduces stress in college classes. In our History of 2020s class, the material is the same, but the due date and late policy differ across two sections of the class. In the intervention group, this class section has flexible assignment due dates and a lighter late policy. In contrast, the control group class section has set due dates and stricter late policy. We find a difference between the group’s test scores that cannot be attributed to chance. What is this known as?

As we cannot assign people to work at Walmart, we utilize quasi experimental. This results in us not being able to have cause and effect conclusion. What key factor presents us from saying cause and effect that is present in experimental designs?
