After asking your patient additional questions, you obtain the following information: History of Present Illness: I started feeling bad about 4 days ago and the lesions first started 3 days ago. I have never had this before. Nothing seems to make it better and it really hurts, like a burning, throbbing pain, when I pee or when my clothes rub down there.” Sexual History: I have been sexually active since age 18 and have had around 10 different sexual partners. Over the last 60 days, I have had three different partners, but two of them have been on again/off again partners for about one year. I am not sure if any of my partners are bisexual.
