Afterwards, she had the doctor’s offices give surveys to every patient after they had been in the waiting room for 10 minutes. The surveys asked the patients to circle words that represent how they are feeling. The options included: calm, distressed, energized, joyful, frustrated, content, and bored. After analyzing the data, Sasha finds that people in the red waiting rooms report feeling frustrated and distressed significantly more often than people in blue or green waiting rooms. She tells you that this proves her hypothesis: room color does impact human mood. Correct Sasha’s conclusion.
