Please read the paragraph below. As the COTA, you are collaborating with the OTR on the client’s intervention plan.  Construct 2 Short-Term Goals based on the LTG provided and case. Use RUMBA criterion when constructing goals. Develop an appropriate treatment plan-interventions-for each Short-Term Goal. Please assign your interventions to the appropriate category as defined in Occupational Therapy Practice FRAMEWORK: Domain and Process, 4th Edition. As the OTA, you have been assigned to work with an 18-year-old female client with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy with left upper and left lower extremity hypertonicity. According to the Occupational Therapy Evaluation, the client has limited AROM and poor muscle strength in her left upper extremity. Her right upper extremity AROM and muscle strength are good. Client reports minimal pain during left upper extremity AAROM exercises. The client has been working on increasing her ability to care for herself. Currently she requires moderate assistance for grooming, upper body and lower body dressing and bathing tasks. She is able to transfer from bed to wheelchair with stand by assistance. The client hopes to be independent and to be active in the community.   LONG-TERM GOAL #1 Client will increase use of bilateral upper extremities as demonstrated by completing self-care and dressing tasks with supervision in 6 weeks.
