Q6: (12.5 Points) Another Ford employee, Elan Krakoff loves cars – especially those from the 1920s – 1960s. However, he was also very intrigued when he, a couple of years ago, learned about the new “budget” electric cars offered by Fisker in California. And not just because of the low price… Even though the company recently declared bankruptcy, Elan still feels like the company had a good value proposition. According to Fisker, the base version of the Fisker Ocean delivers an EPA rated all-electric range of 250 miles at the low price of $37,500 (Tesla model 3 started at $42,000 with a range of 220 miles at that same time). The Fisker Ocean further stands out by being the most sustainable SUV ever built with the lowest overall carbon footprint and heavy reliance on recycled materials. And it looks kind of cool :-). Based on this description and your own knowledge about the car market, how would you present the value proposition for the Fisker Ocean for a target segment of young professionals such as Elan? It is important to your answer that it is clear you understand 1) what a value proposition is and 2) what goes into writing a good one.
