In TCP/IP, we generally refer to the data handled by each layer as “packets”, however, there is a specific term for these data packets defined in the book for each of the top four layers of TCP/IP, including [1] for a packet of application layer, [2] for a packet of transport layer, [3] for a packet of network layer, and [4] for a packet of link layer. And, in telecommunications (and more than once in our lectures), people may also use another term, PDU, to represent a single unit of information transmitted among peer entities of a computer network, which could refer to any of the above four specific data packets. Here PDU stands for [5] unit. (First four blanks must be one single word and the fifth blank contains two words, all in singular form and case insensitive. No partial credits for misspelled words or incorrect form.)
