Case Study # 2GS is a 25 yo woman who was recently diagnosed with celiac disease. She was admitted to the hospital with severe weight loss, extreme fatigue, and diarrhea. A small bowel biopsy reveals a diagnosis of celiac disease with secondary malabsorption. She states, I have lost a tremendous amount of weight, and I have been having terrible diarrhea for awhile now. I don t even have the energy to get off the couch right now.
