Preliminary Assignment 1 requires that you complete your research ahead of time as indicated in the essay instructions. If you have not completed your research and notecards but have already opened this assignment link, you will not be able to complete the assignment. As part of the environment check for this assignment, however, you will need to show the front and back of each of your two notecards. If you failed to show the notecards during the environment check, stop reading and show the front and back of your notecards now. Then, simply type the contents of each notecard into the response box in Canvas. This will allow me to check your sources ahead of time and provide feedback in the event that you need to make changes or additions before the final essay. Make sure to hanging indent your Works Cited entries. If you have trouble doing that formatting in the response box, just hit the “enter” key to move to the next line of the Works Cited entry when necessary and then hit the space bar about five times to indent the necessary lines.
