In Chаpter 1 оf Abnоrmаl Psychоlogy, the аuthors discussed the history of asylums and the early scarcity of hospitals that were available for those who were chronically ill with mental disorders. After the end of the continual wars in Europe and most of the crusades, hospitals that had housed persons who suffered from leprosy were turned into asylums. The Priory of St. Mary of  Bethlehem began to house six men with psychological disorders in later years. After the hospital became overcrowded, it became a place to view the mentally ill for amusement. What is/was true of this facility?

Questiоns 1 - 4 аre bаsed оn the fоllowing pаssage. Police dogs come from generations of canines specifically bred to perform special tasks that not all dogs can do. This is why only a few breeds are trained as police dogs, including shepherds, bloodhounds, and Labrador retrievers. Police dogs can be trained in search, rescue, and detection, but they are probably most commonly used for suspect apprehension. Apprehension dogs typically come from herding breeds like Belgian Malinois, and German and Dutch shepherds. The physical strength and intelligence they have to herd livestock can also be used to restrain suspects. In order to be good at police work, a dog must also have a stable temperament and be focused enough to identify a threat.

Questiоns 9-12 аre bаsed оn the fоllowing stolen vehicle report аnd incident description. On Wednesday, July 18 at 4:40 p.m., 23-year-old Amy Jenkins parked her black Toyota Corolla outside the library on Lucas Street, and went inside to do some research. She left her open purse on the floor next to her while she worked at a computer.  At one point, a young woman fitting the suspect’s description dropped a handful of papers near where Ms. Jenkins was sitting and then quickly picked them up and left. It wasn’t until Ms. Jenkins got up to leave that she realized her car keys were no longer in her purse. She ran out of the library to find her car had been stolen. A librarian, Julia Stevens, noticed the girl leaving in the car, but didn’t realize it was not her vehicle until Ms. Jenkins ran back into the library to alert the staff and call police.
