A 40 YO femаle is аdmitted tо the hоspitаl fоr treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus. She is going to receive the next course of IV infusion of cyclophosphamide, an effective for highly toxic ehmotherapy drug, used to treat SLE. The patient currently has a ventral venous catheter placed in the superior vena cava in which her chemotherapy treatments are administered (not placed during this encounter so do not code placement of the line). The patient has several complications as a result of SLE, including nephritic syndrome, inflammatory myopathy, anemia of chronic disease, and swan-neck deformities of her left fingers.
