GUIDED READING, PART THREE: TEST GRADES TESTS – 500 POINTS There will be five tests taken online with the use of Honorlock. Online tests are accessed through Canvas modules and open at midnight after the homework for that unit closes. Tests then remain open for 48 hours so that students may choose the one hour for their test session. Tests must be completed in one sitting, and students may not leave test window once the Honorlock proctor has been established. Students are allowed to use a scientific calculator. Tests are to be taken without the use of notes, books, or any other outside/online assistance or resources. In particular, neither graphing calculators nor cell phones are allowed in the test environment! Using notes or other resources while testing and/or to failing to properly establish the test environment during the Honorlock room scan is considered cheating and will invalidate your test score. After each test, students will email a PDF of their written work to the instructor within 15 minutes of completion. For problems requiring submitted work, correct answers with no work will receive no credit. Incorrect answers with appropriate work may receive partial credit. In cases where written work does not match the answers submitted on an exam and/or Honorlock flags an exam as highly suspicious, the instructor reserves the right to ask students to rework test questions in real time during a Teams session. If the student cannot satisfactorily reproduce the work that was submitted during the proctored test session, they will lose the privilege of testing with Honorlock. Instead, all remaining tests must be taken at the SCF testing center or some other approved testing facility. FINAL EXAM – 200 POINTS The final exam will be taken online with the use of Honorlock. The final exam is cumulative and will have a two-hour time limit. After completing the final exam, students will email written work to the instructor within 15 minutes of completion. The SCF Mathematics Department does not allow makeups or extensions for the final exam unless there are extreme circumstances. Contact your instructor as soon as possible to discuss such cases, which must be documented.
