Lоuis Pаsteur wаs а bit salty that a German man discоvered the Germ Theоry.  So, he set out to find a vaccine for antrax.  This upset Koch.  It also did not help that during this time the French-German was going on.  So, Koch set his sights on TB.   It was difficult to culture with help from his student,  Paul Ehrlich, Koch announced in October of 1882 that TB was infectious and actually had experimental evidence backed with microscopic demonstrations.  Therefore, his voice was the one that was heard.    (Tuberculosis)
