As we leаrned this term, McCаin Fооds Limited (McCаin), a privately оwned Canadian family business processes nearly one-third of the world's French fries! It has production factories on five continents with products sold in more than 110 countries. McCain's statement of purpose and values notes that "we will 'drink the local wine': we are multicultural and care about our people, our families and our local communities." The company's expansion has been guided by the corporate cornerstone of drinking the local wine. According to a McCain executive "We never march in and say 'do' it this way" as tastes can differ significantly.  For example, North Americans prefer a thin, crispy French fry, while the British prefer a thicker fry.
