The ABL kinase is mutated in Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML), giving rise to the BCR-ABL protein.  Based on the normal function of ABL in white blood cells, how did the mutated version of the kinase (BCR-ABL) contributes to the development of CML, a cancer of the white blood cells?
