All exams in this course are closed book as specified in the syllabus. When you take an exam using Honorlock, you are being recorded. This includes audio, video, and screen capture. I can watch your entire session and will do so after every exam before releasing your exam grade. Make sure that you are in a quiet, well-lit place when you test and that you are dressed appropriately (no hats/caps, no hoodies, and wearing a shirt and pants, etc.). If you talk to yourself during the exam, it will likely "flag you" for noise, so please try not to talk to yourself. During the exam, your entire face should be within the Honorlock frame and your eyes should be "on your own paper" at all times. Looking away (specifically down or side to side for an extended period of time) can constitute as cheating (if you need to look away, just look up at the ceiling). There is a clear difference between looking away to think or writing on your whiteboard versus looking to the side or below the testing screen to look up answers. Please do not leave the camera view during your exam or put your head on the computer/desk/table/etc. Your WHOLE face needs to be visible the entire time (not just from your nose up, etc.). You may not leave the room while you have the exam open. There may or may not be additional room scans asked in the form of questions throughout the exam. You must do a complete room scan, showing me every wall of the room you are in, as well as your desk area. Make sure to show your work area (i.e. your desk), too. Cheating on an exam will result in a grade of zero on the assessment at the very minimum. If further violations are discovered on additional exams, a grade of F will be assigned and you will not be allowed to drop the course.
