Questions

Pоst HIV expоsure treаtment needs tо stаrt within?

The Just Wаr theоry is а set оf beliefs аnd military ethics, which has been studied by military leaders, church leaders, and pоlicy makers.  In the 13th century the priest and philosopher Thomas Aquinas argued that it is not always a sin to wage war.  According to Aquinas, three requirements must be met for a war to be morally permissible: First, the war must be waged by a rightful sovereign or government (not private individuals).  Second, the war needs to be waged for just cause (such as avenging wrongs, self-defense.) Thirdly, warriors must have the right intentions, to promote good and to avoid evil (not for vengeance or profit.) The first group of standards concerns the morality of going to war, and the second group concerns the moral conduct within war.  There have been calls for the inclusion of a third category of just war theory dealing with the morality of post-war settlement and reconstruction. The just war theory suggests that war, while it is terrible (less so with the right conduct), is not always the worst option.  Important responsibilities, undesirable outcomes, or to prevent atrocities may justify war.  Critics of the theory range from strict pacifists (people who oppose all war) to political realists, who argue that the theory legitimizes violence rather than restricting it, or that all war is inherently immoral.  QUESTIONS: 1. According to Thomas Aquinas, what conditions had to be met for a war to be considered just? 2. What would be an example of an unjust war?? Your answer must be in your own words.  Your answer must be a minimum of 50 words.
