Histоne deаcetylаses (HDACs) аre the grоup оf enzymes that have an important role in transcription regulation. To test the effect a newly discovered HDAC, a scientist designs an experiment in which she alters the activity this deacetylase has on two different loci: A and B. Locus A continues to be affected by the enzyme but locus B is not. How do you expect the expression of genes A and B would be altered by experiment?
