Trаnslаte the twо verses аbove. Be sure to clearly distinguish tenses and person/number. “Smoothing out” your translation too much could blur these distinctions. If you are unsure, you can annotate your translation, such as typing (inf) in your translation where you smoothed out an  infinitive by translating it into English as a participle. For imperfects and perfects, I need to see that you didn't think it was an aorist. It might be wise to err on the side of being a bit wooden. The goal is to indicate to me that you know what those are.
