(pleаse use the cаse belоw tо аnswer the fоllowing two (2) questions) The patient is a 74 year-old male who underwent cardiac valve surgery to correct mitral valve prolapse. His baseline weight was 75kg on 12/10/24.  His past medical history is significant for long-standing hypertension and hypothyroidism.  His surgery was prolonged and complicated and required administration of numerous blood products.  He received intensive hydration therapy with IV fluids and blood products.  Over the next two days he gained 9 kg of weight and weighed 84kg (12/12/24).  The surgery resident initiated furosemide 40 mg IV three times daily to help eliminate some of his excess fluids.  Today (12/14/24) he is doing better, he has lost his extra fluid weight (weight is 69kg) and is transferred to the floor.    His blood pressure this morning is 102/54 and he has some dizziness.  His serum creatinine has increased as well.   12/10/24:                         12/12/24:                                        12/14/24:   Scr:  0.9 mg/dL                Scr:  1.0 mg/dL                               Scr:  1.7 mg/dL Weight: 75 kg                   Weight:  84 kg                                Weight:  69 kg
