The fоllоwing аrgument is fаulty, cоntаining at least two manipulative appeals or errors in reasoning from the list below: ad hominem bandwagon either-or fallacy evasion (and red herring) false analogy flattery generalization incorrect (small) sampling just plain folks name calling post hoc ridicule slippery slope stereotyping strawman testimonial transfer two wrongs make a right Identify and explain two of the above problems this argument: You should always check Rate My Professor before signing up for a class.  At least 90% of WTMC students use Rate My Professor while planning their schedules, and even Dr. Covert has endorsed the idea.   Professors who complain about their bad reviews are just lazy and/or incompetent and obviously don’t care about their students and their opinions.  If you ignore Rate My Professor, soon you’ll end up in a terrible class, fail all your courses, drop out of college, and never be able to get a good job.  So it’s obvious that Rate My Professor is the only way to avoid disaster and guarantee academic success.
