This is а twо pаrt questiоn. 1. Cоmpаre and contrast structural functionalism and conflict theory by applying each theory to the one of the following social problems: abortion, OR problems related to Medicaid, OR problems related to our healthcare structure overall. I expect two short paragraphs for #1. The first paragraph should briefly apply structural functionalism to your selected problem. The second one should briefly apply conflict theory to the same problem. I encourage you to use the "key words" for each theory as you apply them. 2. In a separate third paragraph, please do the following: a) Offer your personal thoughts on the social problem you selected above; b) Identify one policy or law that you think should be pursued in order to deal with it; and c) Please identify your "social location" (e.g., gender, social class, race-ethnicity, and/or religious background) and explain how you think that shapes your views.
