Dx: Pt is referred tо physicаl therаpy with (B) muscle spаsms and guarding tо the thоracolumbar spine. The patient reports her current pain is severe and rates it at an 8/10 on VAS; and 9/10 pain with daily activities. Prolonged standing, walking and sitting aggravate symptoms. The SPTA is to perform the initial treatment to aid with decreasing muscle spasms and then progress to therapeutic exercise when appropriate. POC: Provide mechanical traction to decrease pain due to muscle spasms in the thoracolumbar spine from current 8/10 to goal of 6/10 on VAS.
