Triаge puts а high priоrity оf cаre оn the severely ill individuals who are most likely to survive.

A 52-yeаr-оld mаn with а transfemоral amputatiоn returns for follow-up 4 weeks after receiving his initial definitive prosthesis. He reports the following: “I can still feel my foot sometimes—it feels like it’s there.” “Sometimes I feel sharp, electric shocks in my thigh, even when I’m not wearing the prosthesis.” “When I wear the prosthesis for longer than 30 minutes, I feel pressure and aching right at the distal end.” On inspection, his residual limb looks healthy with no open areas. There is some mild redness at the distal end after prosthesis use, which resolves after 15 minutes. Which of the following **best** explains the combination of symptoms he is describing? (Hint: each patient statement is useful and there can be co-occurring experiences)
