State Y enacted a law requiring all trucks using its highways to be equipped with Boyo Tire Company's unique truck tires. A trucking company located outside State Y filed suit against State Y, and eventually the United States Supreme Court held that State Y’s statute violated the Commerce Clause. Subsequently, Congress enacted a law that required all trucks engaged in interstate commerce to use Boyo Tire Company’s unique tires. Is this federal law constitutional?
