First of all, children who speak more than one language may have better academic progress. When children learn another language, they sharpen their thinking skills. According to an editorial in the Houston Chronicle, “People who master two or more languages in childhood enjoy better cognitive development, leading to better academic performance across the board.” Also, children who learn more languages exhibit creativity, solve problem-skills, and stronger vocabulary. The Houston Chronicle further states that “Learning languages at a young age is also associated with better problem-solving, heightened verbal skills, and mental agility."  Thus, a child who learns another language is likely to be good at interacting with others, which is a necessary skill for any profession. To conclude, becoming bilingual in childhood can help children succeed throughout their lives.
