Wells is а yоung, аspiring Brоаdway actress that just wоn an award that named her top upcoming actress across the globe. She was a true superstar; no one can compare! She has always been a great asset and worked heavily with her community theater group, and they had an upcoming showing of Wicked that they wanted Wells to be a part of. The theater had been advertising and marketing the musical for almost a year already, but had not yet found their perfect Glinda. The theater group called Wells and asked her to play the role of Glinda. They told Wells they would pay her 20% of the profits made by the production. Wells agreed to play the part. The theater group was worried about their production because there had not been much buzz about the musical and it was only 3 months away, despite all their marketing efforts. They put ads in the local newspaper, were on social media, and printed fliers that they had handed out everywhere in the city. Their musicals were very important as they brought in the most revenue for the company. They were certain that because Wells was recently named top upcoming actress, it would help them to make their budget for the upcoming year. Because they were worried about their budget, they told Wells that if she backed out of the musical for another play or musical, that she would pay them 50% of the amount she was to make with the new part. Wells verbally agreed. After Wells accepted, they utilized her for advertising and spent about $2000 to send out new advertising that included Wells being a lead role. For the next month, Wells rehearsed daily and aided in the marketing of the musical for her local theater group. She was doing amazing, coaching her understudy, and working on her vocal skills to increase her range. One day, while she was at a vocal rehearsal, she was overheard by a movie executive who was looking for someone to play a part in his new movie, a musical rendition of the movie Halloween. He looked up Wells, saw that she had also won an upcoming actress award, and thought she would be the perfect newcomer to showcase. He immediately approached her and asked her to come to Hollywood. Wells was so excited that she said yes on the spot. She immediately called the theater group and told them that she would no longer be able to play the part of Glinda, expressing her condolences, but noting that the understudy, Campbell, would do just fine! The theater group’s musical was not a great success, and they blamed Wells for the dip in projected profits.
