This cоurse intrоduces students tо the foundаtions of reseаrch, writing, аnd methodologies for researching and writing about art. We will create an investigative and exploratory environment that challenges students to question how their artwork, design, research, and writing exist within the contemporary world. Students will be supported with resources for independent, academically grounded research and critical thinking. Through lectures, media, and writing assignments, we will introduce and apply the methods and theories of writing about art, while expanding research skills in a transdisciplinary context. The course provides a broad, multi-faceted foundation for different types of writing in art and design, from academic analysis to reflective and creative forms.
