Reаd the pаrаgraph belоw. Hоw many citatiоns does the paragraph have? Learning more than one language at a young age creates crucial skills in children for several reasons. First of all, children who speaks more than one language advance more, and have better academic progress. As children have the capacity to know another language, it allows them to have the ability for better development. According to an editorial in the Houston Chronicle, “People who master two or more languages in childhood enjoy better cognitive development, leading to better academic performance across the board.” Also, children who learn more languages have better creativity, inspiration, astuteness and quickness, facilitation when solving problems, and stronger vocabulary. The Houston Chronicle states that “Learning languages at a young age is also associated with better problem-solving, heightened verbal skills, and mental agility” (“Editorial”). For example, if the child had the power to learn another language, they have superior skills and can do better not only in school but also in personal lives. To conclude, learning more than one language as a child is important for abilities and success.
