Questions

Yоu аre perfоrming а lineаge tracing experiment tо test whether any liver cells can migrate away form the liver organ. You decide to implement a genetic lineage tracing strategy (outlined below) to track liver cells throughout the life of your study organism. You establish two separate transgenic lines Line 1 and Line 2. Line1 has a transgene that drives Cre recombinase under the control of a strong liver enhancer plus promoter. Line 2 features a transgene that drives a green fluorescent protein (GFP) with a stop codon followed by a red fluorescent protein (RFP) gene under the control of a housekeeping enhancer plus promoter. The GFP portion of this transgene (including the stop codon) is flanked by LoxP sites, which upon Cre exposure, cause removal of the GFP coding region and leave the RFP coding region in-frame.     Line 1: Line 2: Before we cross Line1 and Line2 together... we expect Line1 to demonstrate [blank1] fluorescence by itself. we expect Line2 to demonstrate [blank2] fluorescence by itself.    After crossing Line1 and Line2 together... we expect brain cells to demonstrate [blank3] fluorescence. we expect liver cells to demonstrate [blank4] fluorescence. if you find cells that demonstrate red fluorescence outside of the liver, this would [blank5] your hypothesis.
