Questions

Yоu аre piecing tоgether аn ArcGIS Mоdel Builder flowchаrt.  Your objective is to determine if there has been habitat preference change between 2000 and 2010 for the Blurry Speckled Whooper Owl (Lethargicist honkerris) in Somnolent State Park (near Sleepy Hollow).  You have the habitat landcover GIS layer (Somnolent State Park) that has numerical weightings for 2000 and 2010 that represent habitat preference values for the Whooper Owl.  You need to convert the shapefile into two separate GRID files (with the 2000 and 2010 preference values).  These GRID files then need to be subtracted from one another to determine any habitat preference change and then converted to absolute values.  Below are several pieces of the model– but three segment sections are missing the appropriate tool command.  Use three of the numbered (loose) pieces below to finish the model.

Questiоn: This is the secоnd writing dаy fоr the Compаrаtive Analysis Essay. Copy and paste the CA Day 1 Writing into this quiz and keep working. Link to Day 1 Introduction Paragraph: - review for structure. It should introduce the theme, list the three texts, list the four categories/topics briefly (!), and state your thesis. The thesis is your overall argument – a claim you will prove through the analysis about human nature. State the argument and why it should matter to your reader. The thesis is not about the texts – it is about us. Analysis Paragraphs: There must be four. Each paragraph must open with a topic – about human nature and the theme. Only introduce the texts after you have set up the topic for the paragraph in 1-2 sentences. Each paragraph will compare/contrast two of your texts only. Examples: Within each body paragraph, narrow the focus from the topic to the texts, and then to a specific moment from each of your texts. If you are focusing on a character, give an example of something that character says/does and examine the words/actions. If you are focusing on a specific part of the plot, describe a key moment in detail. If you are describing a pattern, identify a few parts of it in detail. To do so, use a sentence to create the context. Then narrow. Common narrowing phrases: for example such as in particular for instance specifically Significance: The last sentence of each of your paragraphs will tie to the reader of your essay in our world now. You will be connecting the discussion to your overall thesis. Conclusion Paragraph: As with the Informed Response Essay, the conclusion is your editorial. Bring the argument home to your reader in this time and place. Focus on what you are saying about our shared human nature and why we should listen to your insights.
