A grоup оf 200 pаtients pаrticipаted in a dоuble-blinded randomized control study that intends to investigate the effects of dance therapy on improving general health in Breast Cancer patients. One group of patients was randomly assigned to participate in a supervised dance therapy provided by a trained dance therapist two times per week for 12 weeks. The other group of patients was randomly assigned to a control group that consisted of “activities as usual”. An initial power sample was estimated to be of 500 patients to show an effect for the primary outcomes of depression and stress. At the conclusion of the study, no significant differences were found for the intervention group “dance/movement therapy” when compared to the control group for the outcomes of depression, stress, anxiety, fatigue, and body image. Still there was a significant effect on the secondary outcomes of Quality of Life, Somatization, and vigor. After critically appraising the study you conclude:
