Yоur 50-yeаr-оld femаle pаtient presents with pain in her right wrist and hand fоr the past 3 months. She reports that the pain began gradually after increasing her computer use at work. Pain is worse when typing, gripping objects, or holding a coffee mug, and eases slightly with rest. She describes a dull ache across the dorsal and palmar aspects of the wrist and mild stiffness in the fingers, particularly in the morning. She denies numbness or tingling. PMH: Type II Diabetes. Social history: Works as an accountant; plays piano recreationally. Functional limitations: Difficulty typing for extended periods, lifting objects, and performing household tasks such as cooking or cleaning.   Which muscles’ performance are most important to test?
