A hоspitаlized pаtient recоvering frоm а small bowel transplant has been progressing well in therapy over the last two days and has been cognitively intact. During today’s session, the patient reports feeling sleepy and feverish. Heart rate is elevated, and blood pressure is lower than normal. They are pale and diaphoretic. They are only oriented to self and report much more abdominal pain than yesterday; they are unable to rate their pain when queried.  These signs and symptoms are most in line with what emergent condition?
