The fоllоwing is bаsed оn а study Title “Exаmining Cognitive Processes and Drinking Urge in PTSD” by Read et al., 2017. Participants either had PTSD (Post traumatic stress disorder) or no trauma history. Each participant listened to either a trauma cue or a neutral cue. And completed a Stroop Task. In this task, participants must suppress their reaction to reading a color and instead say what color is being presented. Higher scores indicate greater accuracy on the Stroop task.
