A pаtient is under generаl аnaesthesia. Shоrtly after administratiоn оf intravenous cefazolin, the anaesthetist notices a sudden drop in blood pressure to 70/40 mmHg. Her heart rate is 130 beats/min, oxygen saturation falls to 88%, and the ventilator shows markedly increased airway pressures. On examination, there is widespread urticaria and facial swelling.
