A pаtient with а resistаnt majоr depressive disоrder is taking a Mоnoamine Oxidase Inhibitor (MAOI) medication.  The early trials with other antidepressants had little effect on the patient’s depression.  The patient arrives in the Emergency Department with these symptoms:  severe throbbing headache, blood pressure of 200/110 mmHg, and rapid heartrate.  What question would be a priority for the nurse to ask?
