Students will be recorded with screen and audio during entire exam session. Honorlock: Online Exam Proctoring All AHE 130 exams require Honorlock, an online proctoring service. Since this course is completely online, you will take your exams remotely using your own computer. Honorlock allows you to take exams from home while helping maintain academic integrity. Please review the following requirements carefully before your first exam. Technology Requirements To take your exams, you must have: A desktop or laptop computer with a working webcam and microphone. A reliable internet connection. The Honorlock browser extension installed. A quiet, private testing space where you will not be interrupted. You cannot take Honorlock exams using a smartphone, tablet, or the Canvas mobile app. Required Week 1 Honorlock Practice Exam During Week 1, you will complete a required Honorlock Practice Exam. This is your opportunity to make sure everything works BEFORE your first graded exam! The practice exam will help you: Install and become familiar with Honorlock. Check your webcam, microphone, and internet connection. Practice the exam check-in process. Identify and resolve technical issues before your first graded exam. Please do not skip this assignment. I want you to feel comfortable and confident using Honorlock before your first exam. Exam Rules and Expectations Unless otherwise stated in the exam instructions or your approved accommodations: Exams are closed-book. Textbooks, notes, websites, and other resources are not permitted. Phones and other electronic devices are not allowed. You must complete your exam independently without assistance from another person. Your webcam and microphone must remain enabled throughout the exam. You must remain in your testing area until the exam is completed. Breaks are not permitted unless authorized. Follow all Honorlock instructions during check-in and throughout your exam. Exams are monitored through Honorlock. Any flagged activity may be reviewed by your instructor and integrity issues will be reported to the college. Please review the instructions for each exam carefully before beginning. Exam Deadlines All exams must be completed by their posted deadlines in Canvas. Plan ahead! Do not wait until the final hour to begin an exam. Allow yourself enough time to complete the entire exam before the deadline. Once you begin an exam and view the questions, it cannot simply be reopened for another attempt. Important: Honorlock Flags, Technical Issues, and Exam Retakes Please read this policy carefully. If your Honorlock exam is flagged or you experience a technical problem, contact Honorlock Support immediately and notify me as soon as possible. I will review the situation by watching and listening to the recorded session. I do not reset or reopen Honorlock exams. Any Honorlock issue or flag will require a review from your instructor. The following policies are used for Honorlock situations: Students will take a new version of the exam with different questions on-campus within 3 days of the scheduled original exam. New exam will be schedule with the Bellevue College Testing Center. Complete the exam in person on campus under the supervision of a Testing Center proctor. You will not be permitted to retake the same exam remotely through Honorlock. Important: Although AHE 130 is a completely online course with no regularly scheduled in-person classes, students who are required to retake an exam due to an Honorlock issue must complete that retake in person at the Bellevue College Testing Center. A flagged exam does not automatically mean academic misconduct occurred. I will review the circumstances before determining the appropriate next steps.
